To the Brooks family. I'm so sorry for your lost. Be blessed. I saw the obituary in the paper. Bedford Va. caught my ear. I think my grandmother and your mother were cousins. My grandmother was Gertrude Johnson, Poppa daughter. I remember being up on the mountain with some of us back when aunt Blanche was downtown Roanoke. If the Plinton funeral home would forward this to the Brooks family I would be more than appreciative. So sorry for your lost. I also remember Brooks, that's what we called him. I always asked him when I was a little girl, "you play ball. My mother was RosaLee. Uncle Richard from Pa. Tommy lived in Aunt Blanche house. I may be wrong. But how many of us are from Bedford and remembers it. Uncle Genie. Love you all and be blessed. Looking forward to hear from one of you. 908-753-4180.
