I truly miss my Uncle Tommie, he took the place of my father and he will forever be my Dad. He took time out of his schedule and gave me the things that a father is suppose to give their daughter. Uncle Tommie never had children but I felt I was the child that Uncle Tommie was suppose to have. Monetary gifts was not important to Uncle Tommie but he valued time that was his gift and I loved him for that. I remember one year during the Christmas holiday I was expecting this wonderful gift from him and I rushed to open it and turned out to be a Scrabble game at the time I thought how could he given me just a gift, and his explanation was to help me familiarize myself with words I knew and do not know :-). As I got older I see what he was doing was preparing me for higher education and better opportunities. Thank you Uncle Tommie I will always love you.
Tommie’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.
