Oh Deacon Reginal Johnson I miss you and your wife so much on last sunday of the month I look for you to walk through my door and park in parking space 51. Here is a beautiful poem for you and your wife. It's call "Miss me a little but let me Go"
Miss Me But Let Me Go
Submitted By: sebringirw
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little-but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me-but let me go
For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all part of the Master's plan
A step on the road to home
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me but let me go.

Reginal John’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

I had the pleasure of meeting your dad when we went to the African American Museum in DC in 2017. I remember him having a smile that could light up any dark room, he told me countless stories and he was extremely smart! I was blessed being in his presence and it was only for a short time! My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the family!

Never having had the privilege of meeting your father, it was inspirational to read about his life. Knowing that it's a temporary separation doesn't diminish the grief, but we have such a blessed assurance. He's singing with the saints! Love and hugs to you and yours.
