Obituary of Reginald Field Sr.
Reginald Isaiah Field was born on January 1,1969 in Passaic , New Jersey. He was educated in the Passaic Public Schools. He was raised by a single parent Hazel Field. He was the third child of four. Growing up, he found an outlet in sports. He was a gifted athlete with a tremendous work ethic. He starred as a three letter athlete in Cross Country Basketball and Track while attending Passaic County Tech. One of his strongest assets was his heart. He was a fierce competitor and loved deeply. Upon graduating high school he attended William Paterson University. While there he pledged Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated in the Spring Of 1989 at Montclair State University. We actually pledged at the same time. Reggie was reknowned for his amazing stepping abilities. In the Spring of 92, he enrolled at Cheyney University. He ran track and played basketball while there. While there he created a lifetime of friendships that he held dear to his heart.
He was a staple on campus, immersing himself in every aspect of college life from gospel choir, Bible Study, intermural basketball, stepshows, and Greek life. He enjoyed having a good time. While in college Reggie accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into his heart. His church home King of Kong’s Full Gospel Tabernacle in Hackensack, New Jersey . He was a true student of the Bible and enjoyed listening to Bishop TD Jakes and Dr. Myles Monroe
He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters Shynae McFarlane and Chantelle Field. He also leaves two brothers Amod and Jason Field, a sister-in-law Erica Field and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts,uncles, cousins, friends, including his best friend Eric Jaffe. He is also preceded in death by his parents Hazel Field, Reginald Field, and his sister Kathleen Field.
