Obituary of Ernestine O'Loughlin
Ernestine O’Loughlin was born on November 21st 1955 to Ernest & Doretha Bell in Columbia, Mississippi. She moved to Newark, New Jersey at the age of one in 1956. She’s the oldest of four children. Helen Bell of Irvington NJ, the late Charles Bell & Kareem Harris of Atlanta, GA. She attended McGraw elementary school, graduated from Barringer high school and completed her education at Montclair State University, where she received her Bachelors degree. She started her Career at Bell Atlantic & retired after 35 years of service. Bell Atlantic is where she made strong relationships with some of her closest friends to this day. Ernestine was married twice and from those relationships came her two greatest joys, Michael Johnson Jr, born July 20th 1983 and James O’Loughlin on November 22, 1987. Ernestine recently became a grandmother to her only grandson Michael George O’Loughlin on October 18th, 2019.
Ernestine held the title, “Queen Ernestine,” because she was just that. She took care of her family, friends, and gave light to every room she walked in. After meeting her just once you would never be able to forget the energy that you had just encountered. Her lust for life was infectious. She loved to travel, visit friends and family, dance and seek adventure. Ernestine is survived by her mother, Doretha Bell, her sister Helen Bell, her brother, Kareem Harris, her son James O’Loughlin and her grandson Michael O’Loughlin, the love of her life Carlton Baltimore, many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, family, extended family and friends.
