Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary E. Crenshaw was born to the late Robert A Crenshaw and Fannie B Crenshaw on March 28, 1948 in South Hill, VA, where she later moved to Newark, NJ. She departed this life on April 28, 2020. Mary aka Maresta as known by most received her formal education in the Newark public Schools System and attended West Side High School. She was employed with the Newark Public Schools before succumbing to her illness which unfortunately forced her to become a resident at Alaris Health in Irvington, NJ until her transition on 4-28-2020. Mary had a spirit of fire, for those who knew her, understood that when she spoke she demanded your full attention without any hesitation. If Mary didn’t tell it like it was then it wasn’t going to be told. Mary had a true love for the children and there was no limit on what she would do for them. She had a personality that displayed a sense of pure joy and happiness. When it came to partying she made sure that everyone knew that she was in the building. Preceding her, one sister Fannie I. Crenshaw and one brother Robert S. Crenshaw. Mary is survived by one Sister Mrs. Beverly Crenshaw-Rean, brother-in-law Charles Rean and two daughters Mrs. Latonia Davis, and Yolanda Crenshaw aka (Blac), son-in-law William E. Davis and her one and only grandson Tashon E.D. Crenshaw aka (Man), and a host of Family and Friends.
