Kevin and I played with each other with the New Brunswick Raiders Pop Warner’s football team. That’s where we met, and became friends. We played on the team for several years together. Later on in years, we coach against each other. My son scored a 67 yard run against his team on his head coaching debut. After the game, he chased my son down and told him that he should have been playing for his team. The last time we communicated was via Facebook, where he was doing the 57 push-up challenge and I mentioned to him that he didn’t finish all of his push-ups. It hurt me deeply that he passed. There were a lot of similarities we shared and there were those who thought we were brothers when we were younger. Rest in peace my brother from another mother. My condolences to all those who lives that he touched.
