Obituary of Melik Grove
Melik Lamont Grove affectionately known as (Papa) was born to Rosalind Moody and the late Jerome V. Grove Sr on 12/03/1970 in Newark, NJ. He received his wings on 09/08/2020.
Melik spent the majority of his youth in Orange NJ and received his elementary diploma from St Leo’s School Irvington, NJ, he completed his High School years in the East Orange NJ school system.
As a youth Melik has always been an adventurous person that loved sports and was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan. As an adult Melik grew to be a smart, passionate, protective, fun loving family man that never met a stranger, and loved The Most High. He was truly loved by all and still a diehard Cowboys fan. Confessing Christ at an early age, Melik joined and became a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Newark NJ. As he grew in knowledge, he followed the teachings of The Black Hebrew Israelites until his passing.
While living in NJ Melik held several jobs two being Xerox (Reproduction), and Mark It Services (Refrigeration Technician). In 2007 Melik decided to move to Riverdale Ga to make a better life for his family. In doing so he worked for Rail X Corp (Electrical/Mechanical Railcar Technician), and Modern World Construction (Contractor). Melik also established three businesses, A Metro Renovations, Reliance Construction, and KAMS Transportation.
Melik leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Rosalind Moody (Rahway); siblings, Sharonda (Ray) Grove-Williams (Rahway); Shaleeka (Dorian) Hodge, Irvington; J. Vincent (Candice) Grove, South Plainfield; Rasheeda Grove Newark. Three children, Amore and Malik Grove II, Roxboro NC; Sanaa Grove, Stockbridge, Ga.; Like a daughter, Kahyah Varnado, Stockbridge, Ga; Fiancée, Felecia Ensley,Stockbridge, Ga; Aunts, Barbara Myers, Barbara Murphy, Marilyn Lampley, Joanne (Lenny) White, One Uncle, Russell Moody and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins,
and close friends.
