I want to share our appreciation for the love and caring Lupe displayed to our father and husband, Roy King. Time is precious, and Lupe spent a good deal of his talking to my father, even as his ability to hold up his end of the conversation slipped away. He never turned his back on, or discarded, him, which speaks volumes about the quality of his character and purity of his heart. We are forever grateful.

Words cannot express the sympathy I extend to the family during this time. I pray Gods continued strength for the entire family. My husband and I had the opportunity to stop by to see Aunt Juke and Uncle Lupie this past May during the world crisis. It was but for a moment and we will cherish that memory. Uncle Lupie smile as always lit up when we got there with there vitamins. I am so grateful for them both and like everyone I wish we could have one more family gathering together, Bernie cheating in spades lol.. Love you all and God bless

Deepest condolences and prayers to Bernie, Kisha, Kim, & Cole. My condolences and prayers also go out to the entire King family. I am so sorry for your loss. I am deeply saddened and heartbroken as well. Uncle Lupe has always been kind, compassionate, generous, loving, welcoming and fair to everyone that crossed their threshold. He enjoyed sports like basketball/horse racing, great conversation, he enjoyed people, a side of humor, he also enjoyed a big southern style breakfast, he certainly enjoyed his garage and he loved his family. He always wore a big smile and gave you heartfelt hugs. We are going to miss Uncle & Auntie alike, they go hand in hand. I pray for your strength and that you all find some peace and solace in knowing that they parted this earth to resume in their eternal destination together in Heaven. May Uncle Lupe & Aunt Juke SIP

My dearest brother was the strength of my family. He was humble and kind. The best brother and father that anyone could have. A gentleman of talent, liberty and candor. In his Accomplishment, he vowed his self to God and was baptized at an early age. In the midst of the 1960s he was known as the best pitcher who could strike out a team. News spreaded about his ability and agility that landed him a contract to play on an all white baseball team, which never materialized because the contract failed to include my father as manager. His career in baseball ended after my father died. He took a job as a laborer to help support my mother with household expenses. Lastly, he purchased a car and started free taxi service to the poor and destitute. Accomplishment well done! Rest In Peace my beloved brother. I love you Always. When Jesus return he shall raise the dead from their graves and bring them up to life in the land of the living. Sister Barbara

Corinthians 5:1
For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
Keep smiling from heaven Uncle. I will never forget the days on 18th Ave we would have impromptu cookouts in the backyard. Some of my best childhood memories involves spades, food and laughter.(smile) Your doors and your heart were always open to family. You are missed, your are loved and your memory will never be forgotten.

Psalm 46:1-2 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.
My Dear Uncle Lupie, I will miss you immensely! You played a huge part in my life, you helped shape me into a beautiful person with a real heart for others. You displayed what it means to be REAL to people that merely turns into RESPECT. Thank you for filling my pockets with money (I was rich on the weekends) to teaching me how to open up a crab to eat. You taught me so many things in life as I watched you for so many years. Most importantly, thank you for raising me as if I was your child (I was your weekend kid LOL). Your heart loved me, your hands feed me, your words affected me, and your arms protected me. Uncle, you really loved your family and we knew it. I love you and we love you!!! Rest in Peace with Eternal Life!

For me, my finest memory of my Uncle Lupie would be his embrace. Since moving to North Carolina, my mother and I would make sure we visit New Jersey at least once a year. During such travels, we'd make our way to Uncle Lupies'. When I approach the driveway, I'd already be anticipating his warm embrace. As I pulled in the driveway, my uncle would exit the house with such a grin and the loving words of " hey Sis, hey Neicey" followed by his embrace. At that moment I knew his hug set the standard for hugs. And with out saying a word, I knew from his embrace that he love me and missed me a great deal. And us pulling up in that driveway made his day. A moment I shall never forget. Sometimes it's the simple things that means the most.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
Uncle, even though you gained your wings, know that you presence on Earth will never be forgotten. I’ll never forget all the nicknames you gave me while growing up. I I think I had about 3 or 4. Lol I could always count on you to have my crabs and White Castle when I came in town. The laughs we shared about who could eat the most. I think I won majority of those rounds. Lol You are gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. May you rest well in paradise!! ♥️
