"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” -2 Corinthians 1:3-4. It was a great joy to have had the pleasure to dwell in the house of worship at Mt. Zion, Little Rocky Hill with Mother Burnett. I fondly remember her wisdom in the Women's Bible Study and her participating in the Liturgical Dance Ministry with the Women of Wisdom (She danced for her heavenly Father!). I was blessed to be her teacher in both ministries, but it was Mother Burnett’s wise words that taught us all. May Mother Burnett's beloved husband, children, grand/great-grand children and all who loved her find comfort in loving memories during this time of sorrow. You are in our prayers! Rev. Truly the Lord is worthy to be praised for the life of Mother Shirley. During my tenure as Mount Zion's pastor (2007-2009) she was an honest and truthful voice. In addition, Shirley was a caring and compassionate woman. It is with praise that I thank the Lord for her service as a Stewardess, Mission, and faithful witness of the gospel. I can remember her concern for Dorothy Springs and Sarah. She would call them and convey any messages. When it came to her family she was consistent and William was a priority.
