Caprice was my niece from her mother's side of the family. Caprice was a warm, kind and caring person. Her art was great and characteristic. She enjoyed life and was so happy to be a foreign exchange student which afforded her the opportunity to learn and experience different cultures. I didn't see her often, but I saw her at family gatherings, and she was always pleasant and welcoming. Comfort to her mother, family and friends and she will be truly missed.

As some people journey through life, they leave footprints wherever they go. Footprints of love, kindness, courage, and compassion. Footprints of humor, inspiration, joy, and faith. Although they are gone we can still look back and clearly see the trail they left behind. A bright trail that invites us to remember them.
I did not know my niece, Caprice, as well as I should. I did not know her hopes, her dreams, her ambitions, or her desires. I did know that she would light up when she saw me and would always hug or grab my hand to let me know she cared for me. I took these gestures for granted never thinking they would not be here for me.
I do know she was kind and caring. She possessed a talent of artistry that always amazed me.
I will miss not seeing her become all that she would have been. My heart is heavy. This loss is beyond words.
I pray that Clarice, Michael, and Sharice know we are all here for them.
