I am so heartbroken to hear about the passing of Sharon today. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jeff and Amanda and I know that it was a little while ago but time does heal all wounds. Sharon and I worked closely together while we were both assigned to the FBI Gang Task Force. I was quite fond of her and she was not only an unbelievable woman but an incredible cop. I will miss you dearly my friend rest easy.

Sharon, "I just can't believe you are gone and am trying to wrap my head around it and understand why".
Aunt Nancy, "Believe it and after I guide you in writing these next few words, perhaps you will understand a little more."
Sharon kept a smile on her face but when it came to business, she was serious all the way and no stopping her if she had a project or job to do. She would take a minute to say hello, but let you know in no uncertain terms, but in a nice way, she was busy and had to go back to work on her task.

I need someone, not on Earth, but here in Heaven to train a new group of Guardian Angels and know the perfect person who can tighten things up here in Heaven and help me with this new group of Angels who need discipline, direction and someone who will not tolerate foolishness or falling down on the job! That person did her job so well on Earth with Distinction and would be the Perfect Commander, Chief--you name the title. I need someone who can get everyone's attention and respect. No one better than Sharon Noel.
Come on up, Baby Girl with the constant smile and seriousness of purpose who can get this new crew in line. I need you!"

Sharon, Baby Girl!
Today is the day! Even when Mamie and I are not there in person, we are in spirit and always with you. You and God know the circumstances, especially about William.
Today when I turned on my computer, our special sign popped up for a minute and then was gone. It is embedded in my brain however-a winter solstice out of Italy-Moon in a Blue Sky blocking the light from the Sun except for a small goldish-"purpleish blue" hued color, but my God in the middle is the brightest Gold Circle with those spoke lines of different lengths all pointing outwards. There is a smallish opening towards the middle outside on the left surrounded by clouds on the outside of the larger Sun-Moon Circle. I know it is God Sent. Don't know your favorite color but I thought you told me once-Blue or Purple and those colors are there--almost like a rainbow with a hint of green. Thank You God. That image sustains me!!
Sharon, you would be so proud of Jeff and Amanda. You and Jeff raised a warrior in Amanda. Even in their grief, Amanda offered to drive to New York to pick up Mamie, which Mamie would never have entertained. Want to make you laugh--you know the Tristate Traffic-Can you imagine the dilemma if they had gotten stuck! -:)
Michele has been a rock--right by the Family holding me up and I thank her so very much. To her Sister Angie--don't quite know you, your hubby and brother but you all are cut from thick, solid, caring cloth and I appreciate you all as well.
Memories, Memories! Memories, Sharon!!
You know I used to work in an afterschool elementary program and, as a Teacher's Aide, there is always one child who is a natural born leader--keeping the line in order, less noisy and more silent as we all walk to the bathroom, counting heads for the teacher to ensure no one is missing, "commanding" the playground and indoor gym time--coming up with inclusive games , helping Teach remember names, volunteering clean-up and making sure everyone has their juice and snack and all the little things that make a Classroom Work. You were that child. You were the child where everyone wanted to "copy" off your paper because the children knew you had done your homework and had all the answers. You were the child in the corner reading Nancy Drew Books that Mamie had given you saying that is what " I want to do when I grow up" and You DID IT!! You were the child that adults predicted a bright future-saying "That One is Special" and "The World Will Hear From Her"! Your Light Shone even then. How do we explain someone who managed to have her finger and imprint on so many lives all at the same time except to say this Godly Creature is nothing but an Angel, a Guardian here on Earth. My word, in 55 years, you packed in far more years and accomplishments than the average person. There was nothing AVERAGE about you-Mind made up, slightly stubborn streak, but always confident and purposeful in your thinking.
Sharon you were the school child whom others envied, maybe bullied, who dared to read books all the time when that was not cool, who showed courage and a toughness, who stood up for self and others, who never wanted to show or share your pain-physical, emotional or otherwise.
You were the one who thought you could do it all and you did.
World, we had a Gem-Rare, Precious and Beautiful with such a forgiving nature. Let's thank God for her time here on Earth!
God, wrap your arms around Jeff and Amanda and help them through the pain. Give solace to Mother Ellen and Sisters, Yvette and Nancy and all the Noel Family and Family on Sharon's Side and all her Friends and Colleagues and those she called God Children.
Not sure what the weather holds today, but any rain represents all our tears--even those from Heaven.
Rest easy, Babygirl. You can lay your burdens down. The torch has passed. You left this wordly earth doing all you could for everyone. No one could ask for more. Your love still radiates in the Winter Solstice and beyond. We FEEL YOU!!
Thank you for all you did for everyone and especially for Family. We love you to the Moon and Back. Know your buddies, Angie and Harold Reid love you and Jeff to the moon and back and always there for you both.
You and I had a saying where we always said --let's never use the words, "Goodbye" and we never did as we ended conversations in person and on the phone.
I hope in my lifetime and I am 74 that I can do a miniscule amount of the good you did on Earth, so we can meet again. You Earned YOUR WINGs.
WE LOVE YOU, Sharon.
Aunt Nancy, Aunt Mamie, Aunt Anne, Roz and William--Looking at all those pics you took of everyone! Your Dad,John, Carlton, Alonza, Ralph, your bonus Dad, Robert and his family, my Mom Eliza, your childhood dog Lady, I think, Cash and your other dog that someone took are all saying, We Love You. Please hold the Memories, Sharon!!

Loss of words.. so many memories so many great attributes my phenomenal cousin has and what an impressive work of honor and accomplishments in such a short time. She had an assignment in life that was recognized at such a young age. She took charge and checked each off one by one with dignity integrity and excellence.
My memories are far too many which I'm grateful and thankful for... A gigantic heart a gigantic heart..
Thank you for your service and contributions to society and life..Job well done.. Job exceptionally done.
I will share only a few memories...
I remember when Amanda was five and I popped over and mentioned I wish I had the money to go away and Manda dragged out a large water bottle full of coins and dollar bills and said " here Michele' I want you to have it... lol.. Sharon told her to take the container back as she began to cry and said I want her to have it!!. Too cute
I remember years ago we took short roadtrips to visit her Dad Aunt Mamie and Aunt Nancy.. I had the pleasure to be part of her dad's side of the family. Hanging with her stepdad Robert ( RIP). I appreciate meeting her co workers and any and everyone she thought highly of. Thank you Cuz
I remember our girls trip to Bahamas which included our mom's and her mother-in- law whom i lovingly call Mother Mary.
Our trip to Aruba and she didn't want to go to the butterfly garden .. of course she wanted to go to the
" CASINO" but later surprised me with tickets..
.I'm going to miss our talks almost daily throughout the day , every blue moon a nightly text when I can't sleep..thinking she would respond in the am but then seconds later she would respond and I would go on and on until.. then I would read: " oh no GO TO SLEEP" We both laugh expressing with laughing emojis. Thank you Cuz
When my mom became ill, Sharon visited often (even when she had a lot on her plate) she said "I'm going to be with you every step" My mom passed last year.. "Thank you Cuz: you ALWAYS kept your word.. you never left my side.
I'm going to always remember how we would disagree and either you or myself have to remind the other" ok we're gong to agree to disagree and leave it right there".. (smiling)
Thank you Cuz
This tiny petite person so full of energy life joy accomplishments love happiness is " my hero' I'm going to remember that you always said " don't let no-one take your joy everyday find a reason to be happy .. handle your business and stop being so sensitive.. lol Thank you Cuz
MY heart is empty and full at the same time. I cherish all of our moments and although we may not make it to Aruba and Paris next year..I will be seeing you and will forever hear your unforgettable laugh and see your beautiful smile. Thank you Cuz
Thank you Cuz for letting me in , your understanding and allowing me to share in your life journey. Because of you I have a lifetime of memories.
Sharon, I will love you "ALWAYS" Until we meet again.. so long Cuz/ Baby Girl

My thoughts and prayers are with you Jeff, Amanda, Ms Austin, Yvette and Nancy- Still sitting here in disbelieve that my lifetime friend is no longer with us. The talks and memories we have shared of 40 years will always be in my heart. Sharon was a one-of-a-kind gem with a heart of gold. Always had a positive attitude and always smiling. I remember meeting her in the playground many many years ago at Peshine Ave School. As we grow-up and our families moved to different parts of the city we lost touch but little did I know our paths would meet again. Sharon was the first person I met again in homeroom in 1981 at Irvington Tech she spotted me immediately smile saying I remember you from Peshine and there our friendship took off again. Sharon was a born leader and I always admired her willingness to go after the things she wanted in life. I will miss our talks and family updates. But know she is in my thoughts and prayers and now serves as another guardian angel. I know her and Pam laughing as they use too.........

Sharon, Baby Girl!
Aunt Nancy again just thinking about you and wanted to share a funny memory. Queen of Bingo, you and I met at one of the Atlantic City Casinos to go to their Bingo Tournament. Little did I know what was in store--long, long lines and a never- ending day filled with the most difficult Bingo Designs--not the type you find at the Legion Posts. You had to help me understand and I thought this is not my cup of tea, but we still had fun! :-)
Once you came to NC and went to a Legion Post with Mamie, Angie and me and you threatened to switch our legs because we were cutting up so badly--kicking each other under the table, giggling, disturbing the serious players to the point you said you were going to go play in another room. You sat across from us and helped us mark the very simple cards they had there. We sat and we sat and we sat until closing which was about 1 or 2 in the morning. We wiggled and tried to whisper to each other. At the end of the day, you were the Mother and We the Kids because we cut up so badly. That was a fun, enjoyable Night.
You tried to teach me Keeno which you loved and I still don't know how to play it!
When you and I last talked you said you were one number B6 or something away from 50 Grand out at your favorite Vegas Bingo Tournies. Keep it going in Heaven! You are a WINNER! Very few people make a difference in life and leave an impact.
Baby Girl, YOU MADE a difference. You kept folks entertained, you cared and you were full of love!
I love you, Sharon.

Sharon Elizabeth Noel is my niece, daughter of my brother John Henry Austin (deceased) and Mother, Ellen.
We called Sharon, "the Energizer Bunny" because no one could match her energy and ability to get things done over time. One could call Sharon with a problem and she would drop everything to lend a hand.
I am a nervous highway driver and there were so many times when Sharon came to my rescue--driving miles to come pick me up in NC or at the airport or train station no matter how far away. I felt like I was riding on a cloud in her car because she was such a skillful, calm and extraordinary person behind the wheel of a car. Who does not remember how she could navigate while talking on four or five phones at once!--often not knowing if she was addressing person in car or on the phone!!. :-)
Sharon was a take charge person--planning 80th birthday parties for my sisters and her aunts-Mamie Austin and Anne Boyd in 2017 and 2021. I recall such wonderful memories of Aunt Mamie taking Sharon and her sisters, Yvette and Nancy on cultural trips while they were young and later including her lovely daughter, Amanda. I recall beautiful memories of her amazing husband, Jeff and Sharon at all of their gorgeous and very homey and beautifully decorated homes as Jeff regaled us with funny stories and such amazing fun and laughter by all with our good friends, Angie and Harold who were outstanding friends and soul mates. I recall lunches with Sue, her wonderful next door neighbor and Sue's beautiful Husband and Son--finer people one could not meet. I recall her very kind cousin, Mechelle and her three best girlfriends who at times were her casino buddies. Sharon introduced me to all the Atlantic City casinos ferrying, Mamie, Harold, Angie and me and sometimes Jeff to every casino in Atlantic City and treating us to meals and serving as a private limo dropping us off right at the door so we would not have to walk.
Sharon researched my sister's Mamie's job and brought our family back into her life in the 90's after a period of estrangement. Sharon found out what happened to my brother, Alonza who had been missing for years and researched geneaology records to find his grave and what happened to him which was heartbreaking and calming all at the same time in terms of closure and sending peace to my Mother, Eliza. Sharon made sure her Dad's grave and my Brother, Ralph's had proper headstones and came South to commemorate with Angie, Mamie and myself at a graveside ceremony.
Leadership, Compassion, Thoughtfulness, Generosity and Caring are the best descriptions for Sharon and the Watchwords of her Life--an Angel on Earth!
Sharon cared for her stepdad Robert and several sweet pooches and cats. Notice the word caring and how Sharon took care of everyone including me--sometimes to the detriment of her own health. She put everyone first!
There are no words to describe the impact of this PHENOMENAL WOMAN who never really learned to cook but knew every great restaurant for miles around and made sure one was well fed when visiting her and Jeff's and Amanda's home--leaving all kinds of snacks and sodas and water and sandwich fixings on the counter for a midnight fridge raid. Her house was immaculate and guest bedrooms coiffed like the finest hotel with plush mattresses and toiletries and water and soft towels for us as guests. I have to recall twice when Sharon took over the grill at her own house and my house in NC and proudly served up steaks far too well done and overcooked and ribs that should have been par boiled longer but she was being a Hostess to the Mostest. Can smile now, but at the time it was grin and keep chewing and try to swallow! :-)
Sharon drove miles to come visit my disabled Vet brother William in a rest home, took pictures and created and sent a bound picture book of family for him, my sister Anne and my sister Mamie who loved her like a daughter.
Our hearts are aching and there will forever be a hole and empty space we can never fill. There is a God in Heaven, however and this morning, 12/21/2022 I woke to find a screen saver picture on my m that I did not put there. I was up early with lots on my mind and feeling stressed. The picture on my computer screen was of the blue sky with a round circle-moon-sun rimmed in gold and in the center was a gold-yellow ball with multiple lines running from it. I felt so at peace when I saw it and it was truly Sharon taking charge, saying "I Got You", Aunt Nancy". The center gold-yellow ball had gold lines extending in a circle all around outwards pointing to her many Friends and Family saying "I am okay," "It will be alright". "Don't Worry", I am still here for you"!!
The Good do die young, but Sharon is Forever. God made her in His Light and she was an Angel on Earth and now one in Heaven.
Thank you-- Sharon's family-Ellen, Yvette and Nancy and Jeff and Amanda and her extended Family especially Mechelle for sharing her with the world!
She is whispering to us all, "I GOT YOU!"
We always ended our telephone conversations with "I Love You, Aunt Nancy" and "I Love You, Sharon!" I talked to her a short time before she passed where she tried to talk in a forced cheerfulness that made me suspect she was not well, but she never let on how sick she really was and that her time on Earth would soon be short.
Sharon, my heart is broken, I am crying inside and outside, but I know you are taking charge as usual as you did with my lousy driving, telling me to " buck up, stay confident, go straight and just keep moving! It is going to be alright"!
Sharon, I love you to the moon and back. You will always be with us! Thanks for sending me the sign this morning to stay strong and never forget!
Your Aunt Nancy Austin, Aunt Mamie Austin and Aunt Anne Boyd and Cousin Roz and Uncle William who just on 12/17 at the VA Hospital was asking about you! We love, love, love you forever!
"I Love You Sharon"
Aunt Nancy
